Do Thy Know Thyself?

Think about how exciting it is to get to know someone new. You probably ask loads of questions, want to spend a lot of time with them, lean into the awkward stages and pay close attention to their answers and responses. Have you ever considered doing that for yourself? Do you feel like you invest as much time getting to know others as you do getting to know yourself? Can you answer questions like…”what do you want out of life?” or “what lights you up inside?”

In case you didn’t realize, your relationship with yourself is the most important relationship you have.

“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.”

s incredibly important. You are essentially with yourself and your thoughts 24-7.

Consider this…You are definitely not the same person you were a year ago or even 10 years ago. Your ideas may have changed, new experiences may have shaped you, and circumstances may have created new perspectives for you.

As we continue this journey of self-discovery and connecting with self, lets start asking ourselves question as a way to get to know our selves and re-connect with who we are in this space and time, with the understanding that we are beautifully evolving creatures. 

Write out your answers in a journal or a sacred space… and spend time listening, learning, and discovering. You’re worth it.

We are starting off with a bang!

Meditation! This may be one of my favorite things to encourage people to do because the effects are so powerful. Meditation allows you to connect with self in a way like no other.

So since we are on a journey – 30 Days to Greatness, we have to do first things first. Clear the clutter.

To increase greatness in your life, one of the first things you must do is create the inner environment for mindfulness, growth , and awareness. With these things you can create amazing changes in your life and you will foster the space for more greatness. As is the case with any task – you must first clear the space before you can do great work. It is very difficult to do great work in clutter.

Meditation is the perfect way to create that clear inner environment. Just by breathing deeply, which you do while meditating, you can start relax, reduce tension, and relieve stress.

BBA AUTUMN SELF-CARE BUCKET LIST

 

The next year will be the beginning of a new decade. 2020! During these last couple of months work on tying up any loose ends and starting the next year with a bang! Below is a bucket list that should be able to help you create the life you wantAutumn buckettlist

Visualize the new year and start setting things up for it.

With only a few months until the new year, why not get prepared ahead of time. Tie up any loose ends. Close any unfinished chapters and prepare yourself for a clean slate.

Do a mental/spiritual/physical detox

A detoxification is an amazing thing to do. If you haven’t ever detoxed or tried a cleanse There are many wonderful fasting, cleansing, and detoxification programs out there.

Break through your plateaus- push through for the next 3 months.

What have you been stuck on? What’s something you struggle with? Make waves towards your goals now.

Forgive yourself for past hurts and disappointments

Now is the time to work through your past, and free yourself in the new year. It may not be a quick process but what better time than now to start chipping away at disappointments and pain.

Choose the positive mind-frame.

Don’t believe those thoughts that life is against you. Make a conscious decision to live in a positive world.

Exercise

Show love for yourself and this vessel that you are in and exercise. Do it for yourself, do it for your family and those that love you, and do it for your future. Don’t you want to feel amazing in your body.

Get shit done.

Don’t wait for motivation. Commit to finishing what you started.

Audit the things that do not bring you happiness

Leave those things in 2019.

Spend time with those you love.

Quality time is so important. You don’t want to miss out on creating lasting memories.
