BBbookclub:The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

by Mark Manson

Just off of the title alone, I wanted to know more about this book. It delivered in a way like no other. I love how the author Mark Manson drops f bombs left and right. It makes this book feel so real and raw. It isn’t lofty or condescending and it almost feels like a friend is just speaking real shit into my life. This book is charged with an aggressive energy which only helps brings the message home in an easily digestible way for someone like me –someone who enjoys the well placed and artistic use of curse words.

Honestly, this book couldn’t have been written in any other way while it humorously delivers a few key points. 1. We need to have the ability to go after what you want, not giving a fuck about adversity. 2. If we have a full life, certain things don’t matter. We can decide to not give a fuck about unimportant things and reserve our fucks for what truly matters. 3. We can give our fucks out sparingly as we realize sometimes life is just the way it is and move on.

With this book, this bad bitch has learned how to be stingy with her fucks and it feels incredible. Love it.

B.B. Bookclub: Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur

Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur

by Cara Alwill Leyba

This book is a very quick read with lots of great info for being a lady in the business world. With the wave of women supporting women in business, this book is right on time. Hashtags like #girlboss, #bosschick, #womeninbusiness, #ladyboss, and #womenentreprenuer are all over the place on social media and I am in full support of them. It is wonderful to see women working together to build instead of against one another in catty competition that we see so often. This comes from a place of insecurity. This book combats that while compiling valuable business information and interviews from the author and her friends in business to bring great insight and knowledge to aspiring and established business people alike.

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book)

by Miguel Ruiz

I found this book from Charlemagne the God talking about it so frequently. After the first read, I felt an overwhelming amount of “Finally! What I have been looking for” set in. The Four Agreements goes over different agreement to make with yourself to live your best life. They include: 1. Being impeccable with your word, 2. Not taking anything personally, 3. Not making assumptions, and 4. Always doing your best.

I’ve read and listened to this book no less than 10 times and I’ve convinced my family members to read it. They’ve all gotten something different from the book. This is the type of book with so many gems of knowledge that can be applied and reapplied to different situations in life. With each read there are new things to learn. Admittedly, some of the concepts in the beginning are out there, but if you take it in context, you can see how it can apply to your life.

A fantastic and life changing read.

How do I define a Bad Bitch?

Being a bad bitch is a lifestyle, and ideology, a state of mind, a perspective. A woman who is adventurous, fearless – therefore limitless, sexy, kind, focused, conscious, sensual, open, giving, knows herself, owns her flaws, and just dope AF…

A bad bitch doesn’t have to be defined as a thot, or a hoe, gold digger, an immoral woman or anything perceived as negative or unpleasant. You are in control of your outlook and mental state. What others think is none of your concern. That is the precise outlook I wish to impart on you all. You are what you believe you are. We are all on a journey to live our best lives and lions do not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep.

This blog is a collection of pieces, inspirational bodies of work to promote self-love, creativity, consciousness, and sensuality.

The affirmations and good vibes released in this blog may not sit well with some, may shake up some world views, may create a new outlook,  may unleash the inner goddess, may unlock the inner queen, may bring forth the muse in you…

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.”

– Ronald E. Osborn

A true bad bitch is constantly filling her brain with fresh and new knowledge. This helps keep her young and wise.

“The quickest way to become an old dog is to stop learning new tricks.”
– John Rooney

Let us not be the person who stops learning therefore becoming old and antiquated with outdated perspectives and opinions.

To always be evolving and growing is life. Being comfortable is dying. Being stagnant is death.
